Dr. Carol Coughlan is an internationally recognized Consultant in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery with over two decades of experience caring for individuals and couples facing complex fertility challenges.

A graduate with honours from University College Cork, Ireland, she completed Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2013. She subsequently obtained accreditation as a Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) , reflecting the highest level of specialist expertise in fertility care and reproductive medicine.

Dr Coughlan also holds a Medical Doctorate (MD) from the University of Sheffield. Her doctoral research focused on recurrent miscarriage and recurrent implantation failure, areas in which she has developed particular expertise and continues to maintain a strong clinical and academic interest.  Dr. Coughlan has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at international fertility conferences, sharing her expertise with colleagues worldwide.

Throughout her career , Dr Coughlan has combined clinical excellence with leadership and innovation. Prior to relocating to the UAE in 2016, she served as Medical Director of the National Oncofertility Centre at Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, where she led one of Ireland’s foremost fertility preservation programmes. Most recently she was Medical Director at ART Fertility Clinic, Dubai.
